My client is a well established manufacturer and distributor of scientific related materials to laboratory and other scientific environments.
A very responsible role, As General Manager the role will encompass ensuring the smooth running of the business on a day to day basis managing a team of 10, overseeing sales, logistics, accounts etc but also managing key accounts in the EMEA region. They are seeking an experienced person with at least 10 years in a Sales Management type role with a degree in a scientific subject preferably Chemistry.
The role will involve managing a team of 6 Sales Executive both in the UK and Europe and also office based sales support team who are office based. Responsibilities will include managing key accounts, distributors and OEMs, ensuring SLA’s are in place and that KPI’s are met, financial reporting to the US head office and managing recruitment, budgets, logistics and marketing. Candidates must have experience of working within the chemical industry with at least 5 years experience in a similar role of managing a business overall not just in sales but at least 10 years within the chemical industry.
The role is based in Stanmore, Middx but will involve extensive travel around Europe, managing sales, clients, budgets and ensuring an exceptional service is provided.
